How to use Sidopin Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sidopin 25mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

  • The main dose should be taken at night as this drug may produce drowsiness or sleepiness.
  • It can take 4 to 6 weeks for Sidopin to start working.
  • You should continue the treatment for at least 6 months after you feel better to stop depression from coming back.
  • If your doctor asks you to stop Sidopin, you should reduce the dose slowly over 4 weeks. You should not discontinue it abruptly.
  • Avoid driving or operating machinery as it may decrease alertness.

  • The addiction/dependence potential of Sidopin is very less.

Pregnancy

Lactation

Sidopin 25mg Capsule is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
The baby should be monitored carefully for excessive sleepiness, and adequate weight gain.
Driving
Sidopin 25mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney

Sidopin 25mg Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Sidopin 25mg Capsule is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
