Carkozom 5 Tablet belongs to a group of medicine called anti-thyroid agents. It is used in the treatment of hyperthyroidism. It reduces the amount of thyroid hormones produced by the thyroid gland.
You should take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. But, before taking it report to doctor if you have any known allergy to this medication. Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to check the levels of blood cells in your blood. Remember to inform doctor if you experience unexplained bleeding, fever, or general illness. Your doctor may advice for monitoring of liver function.
It may cause skin rash, headache, paresthesia (tingling or pricking sensation) and hair loss as its side effects.
