Uses of VO Tablet

VO 0.3mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

How to use VO Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. VO 0.3mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

How VO Tablet works

VO 0.3mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.

No. Vo is not approved for weight loss. It can produce weight loss on prolonged use due to inhibition of carbohydrate digestion and delayed gastric emptying. It is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with post-prandial hyperglycemia.
Vo should not be used in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulceration, intestinal obstruction, or chronic intestinal disease and in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
