How to use Mosart Tablet DR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mosart Tablet DR is to be taken with food.
How Mosart Tablet DR works
Mosart Tablet DR is an aminosalicylate. It works by suppressing the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause inflammation (swelling) in the intestines. This reduces ulceration, bleeding and painful symptoms, and prevents future flare-ups of the disease.
Mosart Tablet DR related warnings

Mosart Tablet DR may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Mosart Tablet DR is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
If you are taking Mosart Tablet DR, monitor the baby for diarrhea.
Mosart Tablet DR does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Mosart Tablet DR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mosart Tablet DR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Mosart Tablet DR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

What if you miss a dose of Mosart Tablet DR?
If you miss a dose of Mosart Tablet DR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • Don't break, chew, or crush the tablets or granules. Swallow them whole with plenty of water.
  • Do not take antacids with Mosart Tablet DR as it can make your inflammation worse.
  • Your doctor may monitor your kidney and liver functions before you start treatment with this medicine and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you have severely decreased kidney or liver function.
  • Don't take Mosart Tablet DR if you're allergic to aspirin or if you have blood disorders.

Make list of every food that you find hard to digest and that cause to problems and avoid all such list. Remember this list will keep on changing as the disease progression occurs In general, take a diet, which contain less fibre like white bread, pasta, refined wheat floor roti, and other cereals having less fibre. You can take chicken, fish, egg whites, milk(if not lactose intolerance), cheese, fruits like banana, watermelon, peach etc Use olive oil for cooking. Avoid spicy foods, tea, coffee, alcohol, soft drinks, red meat, raw vegetables, popcorn,dryfruits, refined sugars as well as high fibre foodsConsult your gastroenterologist for further management
