Product introduction

Gonablok 50 Capsule can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.

The most common side effects of this medicine include weight gain, hair loss, voice changes, acne, and irregular menstrual cycle. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. You should stop taking it if you become pregnant.

Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding if you have ever had any problems with your blood circulation or have diabetes or migraine. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Your doctor may perform blood tests regularly to check blood cells, liver, and thyroid are working properly.

Use of Gonablok 50 Capsule may not be advised in patients with severe kidney disease.

There is limited data available on the use of Gonablok 50 Capsule in patients with liver disease.
Use of Gonablok 50 Capsule is not recommended in patients with the severe liver disease. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is advised while you are taking this medicine.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Gonablok with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Severe

Simvastatin (Oral Route)

Do not consume Simvastatin with Danazol. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust your doses as per the observations.
Moderate

Atorvastatin (Oral Route)

Do not consume Atorvastatin with Danazol. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness and consult your doctor if you experience them.
Moderate

Progesterone (Natural Micronized) (Oral Route)

It is recommended to use alternative methods (IUDs, depot, or barrier methods) of contraception. Danazol may reduce the efficacy of Progesterone (Natural Micronized).

Carbamazepine (Oral Route)

Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Danazol may raise blood levels of Carbamazepine.

Norethisterone (Oral Route)

It is recommended to use non-hormonal methods of contraception (like condoms) while taking Danazol. Danazol may reduce the efficacy of Norethisterone.
