How to use Gistress Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gistress Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Gistress Tablet works

Gistress Tablet forms a coating over the ulcer or any other raw surface. This creates a physical barrier that protects the ulcer/raw surface from the gastric acid or any other injury, allowing it to heal.

Expert advice for Gistress Tablet

  • Do not take the Gistress at least 2 hours before or after taking other medicines. It may interact with these other medicines
  • Take Gistress on an empty stomach, preferably 1 hour before a meal.
  • Avoid taking antacids, before or after 30 minutes of taking a dose of Gistress.
  • Notify your doctor if you have a kidney disorder, as it may put you at a greater risk of developing aluminum overload.
  • Notify your doctor, if you are or planning to become pregnant.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Sucralfate, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
