Eurepa 2 Tablet is normally prescribed when diet and exercise alone or other medicines have not been enough to control your blood sugar level. It works best when taken before meals. The dose will depend on your condition, and blood sugar levels, but you should take it as advised by your doctor.

Take Eurepa 2 Tablet regularly, at the same time each day, to get the most benefit and you should not stop unless your doctor recommends it. It is controlling your blood sugar levels and helping to prevent serious complications in the future. It is important to stay on the diet and exercise program recommended by your doctor while taking this medicine. Your lifestyle plays a big part in controlling diabetes.

The most common side effects of this medicine is hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels). You can carry sugar or glucose candy to control low blood sugar levels. Other common side effects that may be seen while taking this medicine include abdominal pain, inflammation of sinus, joint pain, back pain, nausea, and diarrhea. Contact your doctor if the side effects worry you or if they do not go away.

Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have ever had kidney disease, heart or pancreas problems, or if you drink a lot of alcohol. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it.   • For best results, take Eurepa 2 Tablet 15 to 30 minutes before a meal.
  • You should continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Eurepa 2 Tablet
  • It may cause dizziness. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how  Eurepa 2 Tablet affects you.
  • It may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal.
  • Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxiety.
  • Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while you are taking this medicine.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Eurepa with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Life-threatening

Gemfibrozil (Oral Route)

Do not consume Repaglinide with Gemfibrozil. Gemfibrozil may raise blood levels of Repaglinide.
Severe

Disopyramide (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as confusion, headache, nausea, dizziness or faintness and consult your doctor if you experience them.
Moderate

Mifepristone (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms of Repaglinide side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness or weakness and consult your doctor if you experience them. Mifepristone may raise blood levels of Repaglinide.
Moderate

Clopidogrel (Oral Route)

Do not consume Clopidogrel with Repaglinide. If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your blood glucose levels frequently and adjust the dose of Repaglinide as per the observations. Clopidogrel may raise blood levels of Repaglinide.
Moderate

Asparaginase (Injection Route)

Your doctor may monitor your diabetic control closely and adjust the doses as per the observations.

Eurepa 2 Tablet starts working 30 minutes after it has been taken. After you take Eurepa 2 Tablet, the insulin levels increase causing a decrease in the blood sugar levels. The effect usually lasts for 4 hours.
No, you should avoid alcohol while taking Eurepa 2 Tablet since alcohol interferes with the working of Eurepa 2 Tablet. You may experience signs and symptoms of low blood sugar levels which include weakness, shakiness, cold sweat, cool pale skin, rapid heartbeat, tremors, extreme hunger, dizziness, headache, and anxiety.
Yes, it can be taken with other antidiabetic drugs but according to your doctor’s advice. But since all these drugs lower blood sugar levels, regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is recommended.
No, you should not breastfeed your baby because if Eurepa 2 Tablet passes in breast milk, your baby may experience low blood sugar levels which is harmful to your baby. Ask your doctor for advice.
You should inform your doctor and take his advice. If you cannot avoid using clopidogrel with Eurepa 2 Tablet, take 0.5 mg Eurepa 2 Tablet before each meal. The total daily dose should not be more than 4 mg. Monitor your blood sugar levels more frequently.
