Uses of Eliwel Tablet

Eliwel 50mg Tablet is used in the treatment of depression and neuropathic pain.
It is used in patients intolerant of or unresponsive to alternative treatment options for depression.

Side effects of Eliwel Tablet


Sleepiness, Blurred vision, Increased heart rate, Dryness in mouth, Constipation, Weight gain, Difficulty in urination, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing).


How to use Eliwel Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Eliwel 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Eliwel 50mg Tablet increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.

Expert advice for Eliwel Tablet

  • The main dose should be taken at night as this drug may produce drowsiness or sleepiness.
  • It can take 4 to 6 weeks for Eliwel to start working.
  • You should continue the treatment for at least 6 months after you feel better to stop depression from coming back.
  • If your doctor asks you to stop Eliwel, you should reduce the dose slowly over 4 weeks. You should not discontinue it abruptly.
  • Avoid driving or operating machinery as it may decrease alertness.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Eliwel, as it may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness.
  • The addiction/dependence potential of Eliwel is very less.
  • It may be extremely dangerous in overdose.

n. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Eliwel 50mg Tablet may impair your alertness which may affect your ability to drive.
Eliwel 50mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with
kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Eliwel 50mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Eliwel 50mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Eliwel 50mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Use of Eliwel 50mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

Mezolam 7.5mg Injection, Adamon 100mg Injection, TRANDOL 50MG INJECTION, Barbinol 20mg/5ml Syrup

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Amitriptyline, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
