Metfo 500 Tablet is a medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. यह ब्लड शुगर के स्तर को नियंत्रित करने में मदद करता है और इस प्रकार डायबिटीज की गंभीर जटिलताओं की रोकथाम करता है. It is also used to treat a menstruation-related disorder known as Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in women.

Metfo 500 Tablet belongs to a class of medicines called biguanides. यह लिवर में ग्लूकोज उत्पादन को कम करके, आंतों से शुगर (ग्लूकोज) अवशोषण में देरी करके और इंसुलिन के लिए शरीर की संवेदनशीलता को बढ़ाकर काम करता है.
