How to use Zolax Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zolax 10 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Zolax 10 mg Capsule belongs to a group of medicines called sedative-hypnotics. It works by slowing activity of the nerve cells in the brain and helps fall asleep.

Pregnancy

Zolax 10 mg Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Zolax 10 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Zolax 10 mg Capsule is safe as per American Association of Pregnancy.
Driving
Zolax 10 mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Zolax 10 mg Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Zolax 10 mg Capsule is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Zolax 10 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zolax 10 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Zolax 10 mg Capsule is generally started at a low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you miss a dose of Zolax Capsule?

If you miss a dose of Zolax 10 mg Capsule, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
