How to use Zibose Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take Zibose 0.2mg Tablet with food.

How Zibose Tablet works

Zibose 0.2mg tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.

Expert advice for Zibose Tablet

  • It is very common to have flatulence, abdominal pain, diarrhoea as a side effect. To prevent this it should be taken just before each meal.
  • It may cause low blood sugar level (hypoglycemia) if used with sulfonylureas.
  • You should avoid using bile acid resins and antacids with Zibose.
  • Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with chronic intestinal disorders, hernias, intestinal obstruction and intestinal ulcers.
  • Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver disease. Dose of your medicine may need to be adjusted.
