Victoza 6mg/ml solution for injection is an anti-diabetic medication. It works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas, decreases hormones that raise blood sugar levels, slows down digestion and reduces appetite.

Expert advice for Victoza Solution for Injection

  • Inject under the skin of your belly, thighs, or the back of your upper arm.
  • To avoid nausea, eat smaller meals, replace fatty foods with bland foods like toast or rice, and include ginger-containing food or drinks in your diet.
  • Notify your doctor know if you have severe and/or persistent stomach pain or nausea with or without vomiting.
  • If you miss a dose, take the medicine as soon as you remember, unless the next dose is within the next 72 hours, then skip the missed dose.
  • Place unused pens in the refrigerator. After first use, pens can be stored at room temperature for 30 days.
  • After every use, remove the needle and dispose it properly. Always use a new needle for each shot.
  • You should continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Victoza.
