How to use Telekast Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Telekast 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Telekast Tablet works

Telekast 10 Tablet works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Telekast 10 Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Telekast 10 Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Telekast 10 Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Telekast 10 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Telekast 10 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Telekast 10 Tablet is recommended.
Liver
Telekast 10 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Telekast 10 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of Telekast 10 Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.

What if you miss a dose of Telekast Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Telekast 10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Presently I am taking medicine tazloc AM for blood pressure Telekast L +brophyl for asthma Blood pressure are control but feeling very weekness due breathing problem. Clinical reports of montelukast used for up to two years for adults and up to 12 months for children 6 to 14 years of age showed no significant safety issues. However, always take medicine for the duration as advised by your doctor.

If you are taking Telekast for breathing difficulty due to exercise, this medicine should be taken once daily and at least 2 hours prior to exercise. In allergic rhinitis, it can be taken at any time of the day.
