Take Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. It is best taken with food. Consider taking it after breakfast/first meal to promote uniform absorption. Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting the doctor, as it may worsen your symptoms.

Use of this medicine can cause some common side effects such as dizziness, back pain, chest pain, ejaculation disorder, and retrograde ejaculation. If any of the side effects persist or bother you, you must consult the doctor without delay.

Simple lifestyle changes can help you manage your symptoms better. Try to urinate as soon as you feel the urge; however, never strain or push to empty your bladder. You should avoid drinking caffeinated or alcoholic drinks at night and for a few hours before going to bed or going out.

Before receiving the treatment, inform your doctor if you are on any medication for any other health condition. If you have to undergo eye surgery due to cataracts or glaucoma, inform your doctor about the usage of this medicine. Patients with liver disease must be cautious while receiving the prescription, and they must receive regular follow-ups as per the doctor’s advice.

It can also cause urine flow to be slower. If not treated, there is a risk that your urine flow will be completely blocked. Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet works by relaxing muscles in the bladder and prostate. So, it can rapidly relieve the symptoms and make it easier for you to urinate. However, it may take up to 6 months to notice the full benefit. Take this medicine exactly as prescribed for maximum benefits.

You can take the capsule after breakfast or after the first meal of the day. However, some doctors prefer it to be taken at night time after dinner. You should take it approximately 30 minutes after the same meal every day. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not open, crush, or chew the medicine.

As a result, the patient may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, spinning sensation, and vertigo.

Why should I stop taking Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet before my cataract surgery?

Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet can cause floppy eye syndrome, in which the muscles of the iris become floppy, and the pupil constricts unexpectedly during cataract surgery. So, when the eye surgeon actually needs a dilated pupil, it will constrict and restrict the field of surgery, which can affect the surgical outcomes.

Can Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet cause frequent urination?

No, Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet does not cause frequent urination. In fact, this medicine increases the urine flow and decreases the urge to urinate frequently, which is a symptom of benign enlargement of the prostate gland. This condition also leads to a weak stream while urinating, and hence, the patient is not able to empty the bladder. Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet is used to treat all such symptoms related to urine flow in patients with benign enlargement of the prostate gland.

What are the long-term effects of taking Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet?

Usually, Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet does not cause any side effects in patients with benign enlargement of the prostate gland. However, long-term use of Tamlonyx 0.4 Tablet may increase the chances of having infection, rhinitis, pain, and pharyngitis. Its long-term use may also cause abnormal ejaculation, blackouts, faintness, lightheadedness, dizziness, and decreased blood pressure.
