How to use T Dip Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. T Dip 650 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

How T Dip Tablet works

T Dip 650 mg Tablet is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and fever.

Alcohol
UNSAFE
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with T Dip 650 mg Tablet Taking Paracetamol/Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
Pregnancy
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
T Dip 650 mg Tablet is safe to use during pregnancy. Most studies have shown low or no risk to the developing baby.
Lactation
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
T Dip 650 mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Driving
SAFE
T Dip 650 mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
T Dip 650 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of T Dip 650 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, T Dip 650 mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Liver
CAUTION
T Dip 650 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of T Dip 650 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of T Dip 650 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

Q. What if my child vomits after taking T Dip?

If your child vomits in less than 30 minutes after having a dose of T Dip tablets or syrup, give him/her the same dose again. If your child vomits more than 30 minutes after a dose of tablets or syrup, you do not need to give him/her another dose, until the next normal dose.

Q. When will my child feel better after taking T Dip?

Usually your child will feel better after about half an hour of taking T Dip.

Q. How often can I give T Dip to my child?

You should only give four doses of T Dip in 24 hours. There should be a gap of at least 4 hours between two doses. Do not give T Dip for more than 3 days to your child without first talking to your doctor.

Q. Can I give T Dip syrup to my child for cold?

T Dip along with relieving fever also helps in controlling problems associated with cold such as headache and earache associated with cold. However, it does help relieve stuffy nose and cough for which doctor’s advice is required.

Q. Does T Dip make babies sleepy?

No, T Dip does not make babies sleepy, contrary to the common belief.

Q. Is T Dip safe for children?

If used as directed by the physician, T Dip is safe for children.

Q. Is T Dip an antibiotic?

No, T Dip is not an antibiotic. It works as a painkiller and as a medicine which brings down high fever.

Q. Can I give my child T Dip and ibuprofen together?

Ibuprofen and T Dip are safe painkillers which can be given to children, though both should not be used together. Instead, if you have given your child T Dip and still he/she is feverish or in pain you could try ibuprofen instead, when the next dose is due.
