Sigdoth 25mg Tablet is used in the treatment of depression, neuropathic pain and anxiety disorder. It is used in patients intolerant of or unresponsive to alternative treatment options for depression.

How to use Sigdoth Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sigdoth 25mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

  • The main dose should be taken at night as this drug may produce drowsiness or sleepiness.
  • It can take 4 to 6 weeks for Sigdoth 25mg Tablet to start working.

  • If your doctor asks you to stop Sigdoth 25mg Tablet, you should reduce the dose slowly over 4 weeks. You should not discontinue it abruptly.

No. Sigdoth is not a muscle relaxant. It is a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) used in the treatment of depression, nerve pain, and anxiety disorder.
Q. What is the difference between Sigdoth and amitriptyline?
Sigdoth is chemically related to Amitriptyline and both are tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) medicine. There is overlap in pharmacological property of this medicine.
Q. Is Sigdoth the same as doxepin?
Sigdoth and doxepin are different medicines but belong to the similar chemical class. Doxepin, at low doses, can improve sleep in patients with insomnia. It is also available in the topical form for use in various neuro-dermatitis syndrome, especially itching.

No. Sertraline and Sigdoth both are the anti-depressant. Sertraline may increase the high blood level of Sigdoth. This may lead to a life-threatening or dangerous side effect of hyperthermia, seizure, arrhythmia, tachycardia, orthostatic hypotension or sudden death.
