Taking Sevedoc with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Ciprofloxacin (Oral Route)

To take Ciprofloxacin, ensure a gap of at least 1 hour before and 6 hours after taking Sevelamer. Sevelamer may reduce blood levels of Ciprofloxacin.

Amiodarone (Oral Route)

To take Amiodarone, ensure a gap of at least 1 hour before or 3 hours after taking Sevelamer. Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations.

Carbamazepine (Oral Route)

To take Carbamazepine, ensure a gap of at least 1 hour before or 3 hours after taking Sevelamer. Your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations.

Yes, Sevedoc 400 Tablet can be taken with food. It is recommended to take 1-2 tablets (based on individual needs) thrice daily. It is important to take it with meals because Sevedoc 400 Tablet works by binding to phosphate from food. Take it exactly as advised by your doctor.

The other common side effects of the stomach and intestine include diarrhea, indigestion, flatulence, and pain in the abdomen. Who should not take Sevedoc 400 Tablet?

Patients who are allergic to Sevedoc 400 Tablet and who have low levels of phosphate in blood should avoid taking Sevedoc 400 Tablet. Additionally, patients having intestinal obstruction should also avoid using Sevedoc 400 Tablet.

Can I take ciprofloxacin while I am taking Sevedoc 400 Tablet?

Ciprofloxacin may interfere with the working of Sevedoc 400 Tablet and therefore it should not be taken at the same time as Sevedoc 400 Tablet. However, if taken together then a gap of at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking Sevedoc 400 Tablet should be maintained.

How long do I need to take Sevedoc 400 Tablet?

Continue taking Sevedoc 400 Tablet as long as recommended by your doctor. Sevedoc 400 Tablet lowers your dietary phosphate levels but does not cure your disease. Hence, you may have to take it lifelong, as stopping Sevedoc 400 Tablet may increase your phosphate levels.
