Revlamer 400 Tablet is used to treat increased phosphate levels in the blood. It is used in patients who are on dialysis due to severe kidney disease. It inhibits the absorption of phosphate from the intestine and lowers the phosphate levels in the blood.

Revlamer 400 Tablet should be taken with food. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take it regularly and at a fixed time each day to get the maximum benefit of the medicine.

Revlamer 400 Tablet may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhea. You may also develop low levels of calcium, folic acid, and vitamins A, D, E, and K in your blood. Take necessary supplements as advised by your doctor.

Revlamer 400 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Revlamer 400 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Revlamer 400 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

A common side effect of Revlamer 400 Tablet is constipation, though it does not occur in everyone. The other common side effects of the stomach and intestine include diarrhea, indigestion, flatulence, and pain in the abdomen. Immediately consult your doctor if these side effects become severe and disturb you.

Q. Who should not take Revlamer 400 Tablet?

Patients who are allergic to Revlamer 400 Tablet and who have low levels of phosphate in blood should avoid taking Revlamer 400 Tablet. Additionally, patients having intestinal obstruction should also avoid using Revlamer 400 Tablet.

Q. Can I take ciprofloxacin while I am taking Revlamer 400 Tablet?

Ciprofloxacin may interfere with the working of Revlamer 400 Tablet and therefore it should not be taken at the same time as Revlamer 400 Tablet. However, if taken together then a gap of at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking Revlamer 400 Tablet should be maintained.

Q. How long do I need to take Revlamer 400 Tablet?

Continue taking Revlamer 400 Tablet as long as recommended by your doctor. Revlamer 400 Tablet lowers your dietary phosphate levels but does not cure your disease. Hence, you may have to take it lifelong, as stopping Revlamer 400 Tablet may increase your phosphate levels.

Q. Do I need to have any tests while taking Revlamer 400 Tablet?

Yes, serum phosphate levels should be monitored regularly while you are taking Revlamer 400 Tablet. Also, the use of Revlamer 400 Tablet may decrease the levels of vitamin D, A, E, K, and folic acid and hence the levels need to be monitored during the treatment.
