Persantin 100mg Tablet is an antiplatelet medicine that helps prevent blood clots. It may be used to prevent blood clot-related complications after heart valve replacement and, in certain formulations or combinations, to reduce the risk of another stroke.

Persantin 100mg Tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow the instructions provided with your medicine regarding food and do not change the dose or stop taking it without consulting your doctor.

This medicine may cause headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea and stomach discomfort. These effects may improve as your body adjusts to the medicine. It can also increase the risk of bleeding, particularly when taken with other blood-thinning or antiplatelet medicines. Inform your doctor if you notice unusual bruising, bleeding from the nose or gums, blood in your urine or stools, or black stools.

Before taking Persantin 100mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder, low blood pressure, heart disease, liver disease or a history of stomach ulcers. Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take, especially anticoagulants, antiplatelet medicines and painkillers such as ibuprofen. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are scheduled for surgery or dental treatment, tell your doctor that you take this medicine. Do not stop it on your own.
