Introduction

Paar Kid 500mg Tablet is a medicine used to relieve pain and to reduce fever. It is used to treat many conditions such as headache, body ache, toothache and common cold.

Paar Kid 500mg Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. It is usually best taken with food otherwise it may upset your stomach. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended. Side effects are rare if this medicine is used correctly but this medicine may cause stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting in some people. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects bother you or do not go away.

This medicine is widely prescribed and considered safe but is not suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney problems or are using blood-thinning medicines. It may affect the dose or suitability of this medicine. Let your doctor know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

How Paar Kid Tablet works

Paar Kid 500mg Tablet is an analgesic (pain reliever) and anti-pyretic (fever reducer). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and fever.

Kidney
CAUTION
Paar Kid 500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Paar Kid 500mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, Paar Kid 500mg Tablet contains paracetamol which is considered the safest painkiller for kidney disease patients.
Liver
CAUTION
Paar Kid 500mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Paar Kid 500mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Paar Kid 500mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

What if you forget to take Paar Kid Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Paar Kid 500mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Monitor temp. If child has fever place a cool, damp washcloth on your child's forehead , Give your child a lukewarm tub bath or a sponge bath. Give a sponge bath as follows:- ? Use lukewarm water [90?F (32.2?C) to 95?F (35?C)] . Do not use cold water, ice, or rubbing alcohol, which will lower the child's body temperature too quickly. ? Sponge for 20 to 30 minutes. ? Stop if the child starts to shiver. If your child doesn't like the sponge bath or doesn't feel better after the bath, there is no need to give another one. You can use Paracetamol also along with above measures to control fever till you consult Dr.There are many underlying causes of your symptoms. Different cause needs different treatment. Specific treatment cannot be given unless we establish exact underlying cause. Final and perfect diagnosis cannot be done without doing clinical examination of child. Please consult me or any other Paediatrician. will take detail history and will examine your child in detail. At time may ask you relevant investigations if necessary. All information will be used to determine exact underlying cause of problem. Depending upon cause will prescribe you treatment. Your child may need antibiotics. It is mandatory for the customer to have a prescription for the prescription medicines he/she is procuring. Valid prescription cannot be given without diagnosis.

Q. What if my child vomits after taking Paar Kid?

If your child vomits within30 minutes of taking a dose of Paar Kid tablets or syrup, give him/her the same dose again. However, if your child vomits after 30 minutes of taking a dose of tablets or syrup, you do not need to give him/her another dose. You can give your child the next scheduled dose on its defined time.

Q. When will my child feel better after taking Paar Kid?

Usually, your child will feel better after about half an hour of taking Paar Kid. Consult your doctor if the fever persists.

Q. How often can I give Paar Kid to my child?

You should only give four doses of Paar Kid in 24 hours. Maintain a gap of at least 4 hours between two doses. Do not give Paar Kid for more than 3 days to your child without first talking to your doctor.

Q. Can I give Paar Kid syrup to my child for a cold?

Paar Kid along with relieving fever also helps in controlling problems associated with cold such as headache and earache. It also helps relieve stuffy nose and cough but should only be used after doctor’s advice.

Q. Does Paar Kid make babies sleepy?

No, Paar Kid does not make babies sleepy. It is a pain relieving medicine which is used to control high fever.

Q. Is Paar Kid safe for children?

Paar Kid is considered safe for children only when used as directed by the doctor.

Q. Is Paar Kid an antibiotic?

No, Paar Kid is not an antibiotic. It works as a painkiller and as a medicine which brings down high fever.

Q. Can I give my child Paar Kid and ibuprofen together?

Ibuprofen and Paar Kid are safe painkillers which can be given to children, though both should not be used together. If you have given your child Paar Kid and there is no improvement in pain and the child still feels feverish, try ibuprofen instead for the next scheduled dose.
