Epilepsy medicines may need to be continued for longer duration if seizures recur. Medicines weather it is divalproex sodium or leviteracetam need to be taken in adequate doses for seizure control. Donot reduce medicine without doctor's advice and continue follow up with your doctor. If encourage chrono suits you better and there are no liver related side effects, it is also a good choice.

Medicines for epilepsy are initially recommended for at least 3 years of seizure free interval but may continue longer depending on recurrence.
