OdiMONT 5mg Tablet

Give OdiMONT 5mg Tablet to your child at a fixed time before or after food in the prescribed dose, time, and way. You may need to give it to your child for a few weeks before it starts to prevent asthma attacks. For asthma, prefer giving OdiMONT 5mg Tablet in the evening or 2 hours before physical activity. For allergy, it is best to give it in the evening, depending upon the time of onset of symptoms. In case your child has both, prefer giving it in the evening. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again, but skip it if it’s already time for the next dose.

Your child may start to feel better after a few regular doses. However, you must still complete the prescribed dose to ensure maximum benefit. Moreover, stopping the medicine abruptly may worsen your child’s condition. This medicine may cause some minor and temporary side effects like fever, headache, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Usually, these episodes subside once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, in case these effects persist or start bothering your child, consult your child’s doctor without any delay.

Let your child’s doctor know if your child is already taking any medicines. Also, narrate your child’s complete medical history, including any prior episodes of allergy, heart problem, blood disorder, vascular disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, skin disorder, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. • Make sure you keep all other rescue medicines handy for your child in case of any respiratory distress.
• If your child is taking inhaled corticosteroids, taper down the dose gradually only after the advice of the doctor.
• Never increase or decrease the dose of OdiMONT 5mg Tablet on your own as it can harm your child.
• Never combine OdiMONT 5mg Tablet with other cold and flu medicines as that may cause some side effects.
• If you are giving OdiMONT 5mg Tablet to your child for asthma or allergy, you need not give another dose to prevent exercise-induced breathing problems. In case of any confusion, consult your child’s doctor as soon as possible.
• Make sure that you always have enough medicine.
• Never give medicines meant for adults to children as they can harm.
• Practice self-care tips:
  1. Abstain your child from coming in contact with allergens.
  2. Encourage your child to wear a face mask and avoid dusty places.
  3. Give plenty of fluids to your child as that helps in thinning and loosening the mucus in the lungs.
• You have been prescribed OdiMONT 5mg Tablet for asthma prevention and for the treatment of allergy symptoms such as sneezing and runny nose.
• Take it in the evening for better control of asthma or allergy symptoms.
• It is a relatively safe medicine with very few side effects.
• Take OdiMONT 5mg Tablet 2 hours before exercising if you have exercise-induced asthma.
• It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. Use your rescue inhaler to control sudden difficulty in breathing.
• Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.
