Uses of Moximac Tablet
Moximac Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Moximac Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Moximac Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Moximac Tablet works
Moximac Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria.

It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Moximac Tablet.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Moximac Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Moximac Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Moximac Tablet may make you feel dizzy or light-headed, you may experience a sudden, transient loss of vision, or you may faint for a short period. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
SAFE
Moximac Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Moximac Tablet is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
Moximac Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Moximac Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of Moximac Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
What if you miss a dose of Moximac Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Moximac Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
  • Discontinue Moximac Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
  • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
  • Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
