How to use Metoser Tablet XL

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Metoser 25 mg Tablet XL may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Metoser 25 mg Tablet XL with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

Metoser 25 mg Tablet XL is a long-acting beta blocker that works specifically on the heart. It works by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body.

  • Metoser 25 mg Tablet XL lowers your blood pressure and makes it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body.
  • Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes and heart attacks.
  • It may also be used to reduce the number and severity of angina attacks (chest pain caused by heart disease).
  • It may cause dizziness. If this happens to you, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
  • It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you're diabetic . Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
  • Side effects like headache, cold hands or feet, constipation or diarrhea can be experienced with its use. These are usually mild, short-lived and may not be with everyone.

  • Do not stop taking Metoser 25 mg Tablet XL suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise suddenly thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.

CAUTION
Taking Metoprolol with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy
