Uses of Kemadrin Tablet
Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet is used in Parkinson's disease and drug induced abnormal movements.

How to use Kemadrin Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Kemadrin Tablet works
Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet is a muscle relaxing medication. It works by decreasing the activity of excess acetylcholine in the brain. This improves muscle control and reduces stiffness. It helps patients with Parkinson's disease by improving muscle control and reducing stiffness so that they can move more naturally. It is also used to treat movement disorder (restlessness, involuntary movements or muscle spasm ) which can be caused by certain drugs.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
You may have blurred vision, dizziness, confusion or disorientation while taking Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet and this may affect your ability to drive
Kidney
CAUTION
Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

  • It may be taken before or after meals.
  • If Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet causes your mouth to dry excessively, it may be better to take it before meals, unless it causes nausea. If taken after meals, thirst can be improved by sucking hard sugarless candy, chewing gum, or drinking water.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines to treat glaucoma.
  • Kemadrin 2.5 mg Tablet can cause blurred vision or dizziness. Do not drive and or operate machinery if you get blurred vision or dizziness.

Questions Related to Kemadrin

My father is suffering from Parkinson's disease from last 3 years.From June 2016 we have changed the doctor and she is suggested to take syndopa plus ,syndopa Cr and amantral.from last 14 days ,my father's behaviour suddenly changed,mood has changed.his behaviour becomes suspesious about us.he was denying to take the medicine and become violent.so we admitted him in hospital.our neurologist suggested that he may have schizophrenia has he is having psychotic history.may be because of that he is behaving like this.so now we have psychiatrist treatment also with it.i am really confused.is he suffering because of Parkinson's or he is really having psychological problem.please guide me
