Isocor 20 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of chest pain (Angina).

Side Effects of Isocor are Headache, Dizziness, Increased heart rate, Flushing of face, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing).

How to use Isocor Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Isocor 20 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Isocor Tablet works

Isocor 20 mg Tablet is a nitrate. It reduces the workload of the heart. As a result, the heart muscle does not need as much blood and oxygen supply.

  • You have been prescribed Isocor 20 mg Tablet for the prevention and treatment of heart-related chest pain (Angina).
  • Do not swallow, suck or chew the tablet. Place it under the tongue and allow it to dissolve slowly.
  • Eat healthy (low-fat, high-fibre, low-sodium diet), quit smoking, increase your physical activity, watch your weight, and reduce stress.
  • Isocor 20 mg Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
  • Do not consume alcohol while taking Isocor 20 mg Tablet as it may cause increased dizziness.
  • It may cause headaches but usually goes away after a few days of continued treatment. Inform your doctor if it persists.
  • You may develop tolerance to Isocor 20 mg Tablet with time, meaning that the same dose may be less effective next time. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule to avoid this.
