Frequently asked questions

Incasal DS 2mg Tablet should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It can usually be taken with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent levels in your body. Do not increase or decrease the dose without talking to your doctor.
If you have heart disease, you should inform your doctor before starting Incasal DS 2mg Tablet. Medicines in this class can sometimes cause an increase in heart rate or palpitations. Your doctor will assess your overall health and determine whether this medicine is appropriate for you. Careful monitoring may be advised in some cases.
If you have diabetes, it is important to monitor your blood sugar levels while taking Incasal DS 2mg Tablet. Medicines that act on the airways can sometimes influence glucose levels. Inform your doctor about your diabetes and any changes you notice in your blood sugar readings. Your treatment plan may need adjustment.
Smoking can worsen breathing problems and may reduce the overall benefit of medicines like Incasal DS 2mg Tablet. Tobacco smoke irritates the airways and can make symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath worse. Avoiding smoking and exposure to second-hand smoke can support better respiratory health.
Incasal DS 2mg Tablet contains levosalbutamol, a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the lungs' airways. This helps widen the air passages, making it easier to breathe. It is commonly prescribed to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness in conditions like asthma and other obstructive airway diseases.
Some people may experience mild shakiness or tremors, especially in the hands, while taking Incasal DS 2mg Tablet. This is a known effect of bronchodilators and is usually temporary. If the tremors are severe, persistent, or bothersome, you should talk to your doctor.
Incasal DS 2mg Tablet may lower potassium levels in some individuals, particularly at higher doses. Low potassium can sometimes lead to muscle weakness or irregular heartbeats. If you have a condition that affects electrolyte balance or are taking other medicines that influence potassium levels, your doctor may monitor you more closely.
Some people may feel restless or have difficulty sleeping while taking Incasal DS 2mg Tablet. These effects may be more noticeable if the medicine is taken later in the day. If sleep disturbances persist or interfere with daily life, talk to your doctor.
Incasal DS 2mg Tablet helps relieve symptoms of airway narrowing. However, in a sudden or severe asthma attack, fast-acting inhaled medicines are usually preferred because they work more quickly. Follow your doctor’s asthma action plan for emergencies and seek urgent medical help if breathing becomes severely difficult.
The safety and effectiveness of Incasal DS 2mg Tablet in very young children depend on age and clinical judgment. It should only be given to infants or young children if prescribed by a doctor, who will decide the appropriate dose based on the child’s condition and weight. Never give this medicine to a baby without talking to your doctor.
