Product introduction

Gigatraz 100 Tablet should be taken with food. It is advised to take this medicine at a fixed time each day. You should never skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly as it may worsen your symptoms.

Some common side effects of this medicine include constipation and blurred vision. It even causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. Moreover, most of the side effects are immediate and often go away with time. Please consult your doctor if these bother you or do not go away.

Before taking Gigatraz 100 Tablet, it is important to inform your doctor if you have any history of fits, severe kidney, liver, or heart problems, narrow-angle glaucoma, or any mental disorder. Gigatraz 100 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Gigatraz 100 Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease as this medicine should be used cautiously.
Liver

CAUTION
Gigatraz 100 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Gigatraz 100 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Gigatraz with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects
Life-threatening

Moclobemide (Oral Route)

Do not consume Moclobemide with Trazodone. If Moclobemide is essential, ensure a gap of at least 1 day after discontinuing Trazodone. Please consult your doctor.
Life-threatening

Domperidone (Oral Route)

Do not consume Domperidone with Trazodone.
Life-threatening

Tranylcypromine (Oral Route)

Do not consume Tranylcypromine with Trazodone. If Tranylcypromine is essential, ensure a gap of at least 2 weeks after discontinuing Trazodone. Please consult your doctor.
Severe

Thioridazine (Oral Route)

Do not consume Thioridazine with Trazodone. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as sleepiness, dry mouth, impaired voluntary movements, weight gain, constipation, muscle stiffness or tremors and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Thioridazine accordingly. Factors such as old age, chronic heart issues, or low potassium levels may more frequently cause disturbance in heart rhythm, and your doctor may consider ECG monitoring in their presence.
Severe

Amiodarone (Oral Route)

Factors such as old age, chronic heart issues, or low potassium levels may more frequently cause disturbance in heart rhythm, and your doctor may consider ECG monitoring in their presence.
