Gennomax 250 mg Injection is used to prevent heart attack and unstable angina. It is also used in patients undergoing surgery to treat blockages in their blood vessels (angioplasty).

Alcohol
Interaction with alcohol is unknown. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Gennomax 250 mg Injection is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Gennomax 250 mg Injection is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Not relevant, as Gennomax 250 mg Injection is intended for use in hospitalised patients.
Kidney
CAUTION
Gennomax 250 mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Gennomax 250 mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Gennomax 250 mg Injection is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease and patients undergoing dialysis.
Liver
Gennomax 250 mg Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Gennomax 250 mg Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Expert Advice

  • Regularly check for any signs and symptoms of bleeding and allergy during the treatment with bivalirudin.
  • Inform your doctor if you have been previously been treated with bivalirudin or similar medicines like lepirudin.
  • Inform your doctor if you are undergoing radiation treatment in the vessels that supply blood to the heart (treatment called beta or gamma brachytherapy). 
  • You may require hospital stay of at least 24 hours for monitoring any signs and symptoms leading to serious cardiac events.
  • Before you take bivalirudin, inform your doctor if you suffer from liver/kidney/heart problems. 
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking other blood thinners or medicines to prevent blood clots. 
  • Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

I was on glimison m 1/500 . Half tablet per day Diabetes was in control but i heard somewhere that metfprmin is npt good for kidney dieses.as my creatinine level stays between 1.0 to 1.7 can i use only glimipiride? Is it safe my suger level is around 100_110 in morning. And what would be the require dose? 1_2_3 mg?? I had heart attack and 3 arteries are block pumping is 20%

You can get you E-GFR. when you do s.creatinine eIf it is more than 60 then you can safely continue the same drugs if post lunch sugars are acceptable that is less than 140 mg %. Some times it is safer better to change more kidney friendly drugs and small dose of insulin.
