How Finobrate Tablet works

Finobrate 160 Tablet is a lipid lowering medication. It works by lowering the levels of triglycerides and "bad" cholesterol (LDL), while raising the levels of "good" cholesterol (HDL).

What if you miss a dose of Finobrate Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Finobrate 160 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Finobrate 160 Tablet is the medication of choice for lowering triglyceride levels in the blood. It can reduce triglycerides by up to 50%.
It decreases the risk of heart disease and helps prevent stroke and heart attack.
Take it along with regular exercise and low-fat diet to lower levels of fat in the blood.
Your doctor may check your liver function before starting treatment and regularly thereafter. Notify your doctor if you are more tired than usual, do not feel hungry, or if you have yellow eyes, skin or dark urine.
Do not discontinue Finobrate 160 Tablet without consulting your doctor even if you feel better.
Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.
It should be taken with food.
Inform your doctor if you experience muscle pain, tenderness, cramps, or weakness while taking Finobrate 160 Tablet, particularly if it is accompanied by a fever.

No, Finobrate is a drug belonging to a different class of drugs called “Fibrates”, whereas Lipitor (atorvastatin) belongs to the “Statin” class. Both the medicines act by different mechanisms
