Product introduction

Ezzitry 10mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. You can take it at any time of day but try to take it at the same time each day. Most people with high cholesterol do not feel ill, but if you stop taking this medicine, your condition could get worse. This may lead to your cholesterol levels rising up again and increase your risk of heart disease and stroke.

It is important to have your cholesterol levels checked regularly. This medicine is only one part of a treatment program which should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, moderation of alcohol intake and weight reduction. You can eat normally while taking this medicine, but try to avoid foods that are high in fat.

Common side effects of this medicine include joint pain and diarrhea. Before taking this medicine its better to let your doctor know about all the other medicines that are prescribed to you. This medicine should be taken with caution if you are suffering from any kidney or liver disease. Interaction with drugs

Taking Ezzitry with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Simvastatin (Oral Route)

Talk to your doctor if you experience muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness during the simultaneous use of these medicines.

Eltrombopag (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms such as diarrhea, stomach pain, tiredness, joint pain, runny nose, and sore throat, and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the doses as per the observations. Eltrombopag may raise blood levels of Ezetimibe.
Moderate

Acenocoumarol (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may frequently monitor your blood clotting time and adjust the doses of Acenocoumarol and Ezetimibe accordingly.

Bezafibrate (Oral Route)

Your doctor may discontinue both Ezetimibe and Bezafibrate in case gall bladder disorders or gall stones are suspected.

Cholestyramine (Oral Route)

To take Ezetimibe, ensure a gap of at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after taking Cholestyramine. Cholestyramine may increase the metabolism of Ezetimibe.

Ezzitry 10mg Tablet, when used with another cholesterol-lowering medicine (statin), may commonly cause an increase in liver enzymes. You can take Ezzitry 10mg Tablet at anytime of the day. Take it exactly as advised by your doctor. You can take it with or without food.
You should avoid alcohol while taking Ezzitry 10mg Tablet since it may increase your risk of getting side effects in the liver. Discuss with your doctor if you have any concerns.
Muscle pain may occur when Ezzitry 10mg Tablet is used with a statin. It usually does not occur when Ezzitry 10mg Tablet is used alone. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained muscle pain or weakness. This is because on rare occasions, muscle problems, including muscle breakdown which may result in kidney damage can be serious and may become a potentially fatal condition.
No, Ezzitry 10mg Tablet does not raise blood sugar levels. In fact, it may be helpful for patients with diabetes since it helps in improving insulin resistance and also kidney function. Ezzitry 10mg Tablet has not been shown to have any direct effect on blood sugar levels.
