Introduction

Doliprane 100mg/ml Drop is a medicine used to relieve pain and to reduce fever. It is used to treat many conditions such as headache, body ache, toothache and common cold.

Doliprane 100mg/ml Drop may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. It is usually best taken with food otherwise it may upset your stomach. Do not take more or use it for longer than recommended. Side effects are rare if this medicine is used correctly but this medicine may cause stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting in some people. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects bother you or do not go away.

Do not take more or for longer than needed as that can be dangerous. In general, you should take the lowest dose that works, for the shortest possible time. It is also the first choice of painkiller during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Doliprane 100mg/ml Drop is also used to reduce a high temperature (fever). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever. It may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor.

Liver

Doliprane 100mg/ml Drop should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Doliprane 100mg/ml Drop may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, the use of Doliprane 100mg/ml Drop is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

What if you forget to take Doliprane Drop?

If you miss a dose of Doliprane 100mg/ml Drop, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Q. What if my child vomits after taking Doliprane?

If your child vomits within30 minutes of taking a dose of Doliprane tablets or syrup, give him/her the same dose again. However, if your child vomits after 30 minutes of taking a dose of tablets or syrup, you do not need to give him/her another dose. You can give your child the next scheduled dose on its defined time.

Q. When will my child feel better after taking Doliprane?

Usually, your child will feel better after about half an hour of taking Doliprane. Consult your doctor if the fever persists.

Q. How often can I give Doliprane to my child?

You should only give four doses of Doliprane in 24 hours. Maintain a gap of at least 4 hours between two doses. Do not give Doliprane for more than 3 days to your child without first talking to your doctor.

Ibuprofen and Doliprane are safe painkillers which can be given to children, though both should not be used together. If you have given your child Doliprane and there is no improvement in pain and the child still feels feverish, try ibuprofen instead for the next scheduled dose.
