Product introduction

Darif 7.5mg Tablet is advised to take it in a dose and duration as per prescription. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow the medicine as a whole without crushing or chewing it. You should not stop taking the medicine without consulting the doctor as it may lead to the worsening of your symptoms. The course of the treatment should be completed for better efficacy of the medicine.

Some of the common side effects of this medicine are constipation, headache, dry mouth, urinary tract infection, nausea, and nasal dryness. If any of the side effects bother you or persist, consult the doctor without delay. They may be able to suggest ways to prevent or reduce the side effects.

Before receiving the treatment, inform your doctor if you are on any medication for any other health condition. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, tell your doctor prior to the treatment. This medicine is not recommended for people with severe liver disease must. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.

  • It may cause blurred vision, fatigue and sleepiness. Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires focus.
  • It may cause dry mouth. Try chewing on sugar-free gum or taking small sips of water.
  • Avoid caffeine, alcohol or carbonated drinks as they can worsen your symptoms.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine if you do not notice an improvement in your symptoms as it may take some time for your bladder to adapt and your symptoms to improve.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Darif with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Trihexyphenidyl (Injection Route)

Talk to your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.

Mifepristone (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Darifenacin side effects such as constipation, dry mouth, headache, dry eye or nasal dryness and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Darifenacin accordingly. Mifepristone may raise blood levels of Darifenacin.

Clozapine (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms such as dry mouth, increased heart rate, urination difficulties, constipation, loss of appetite or nausea and consult your doctor if you experience them.

Digoxin (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, your doctor may monitor your treatment and adjust the doses as per the observations. Darifenacin may reduce blood levels of Digoxin.
