Uses of Broclars Tablet

Broclars Kid 500mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections
It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Broclars Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Broclars Kid 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if you are experiencing stomach upset.
Avoid Broclars Kid 500mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How Broclars Tablet works

Broclars Kid 500mg Tablet is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

  • Broclars will cure your infection and improve symptoms.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Broclars Kid 500mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.

There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.
Broclars Kid 500mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, t
ired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Broclars Kid 500mg Tablet should be used with caution in pat
ients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Broclars Kid 500mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Clarithromycin, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
