Product introduction

Artin 150mg Capsule is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, Wilson's disease, and cystinuria. It slows the progression of rheumatoid arthritis and provides relief from pain and swelling in the joints. For treatment of Wilson's disease, it helps to remove the excess copper from the body.

Artin 150mg Capsule is to be taken in an empty stomach. You should take it regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefit from it. Keep taking it as recommended by your doctor and complete the dose even if you feel better.

Using of this medicine may cause some common side effects such as rashes, anorexia, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of taste, and proteinuria. Your doctor may recommend regular blood tests to check and make sure the medicine is not harming your liver or effecting your blood counts. You should consult with your doctor if any of these side effects does resolve with time or get worse. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these symptoms.

To make sure the medicine is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any problem with your kidneys. Also tell your doctor of all the other medicines you are taking.  Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult with their doctors before taking the medicine.

How Artin Capsule works

Artin 150mg Capsule works by blocking the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation and slows the progress of the condition with certain joint diseases. It works in Wilson's disease by helping the body to remove excess copper, and in cystinuria by preventing cystine stone formation through increased solubility.

Pregnancy

Artin 150mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Artin 150mg Capsule is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Taking Artin 150mg Capsule right after nursing and waiting for 4 to 6 hours before nursing again will minimize the harmful effects to the baby.
Driving
SAFE
Artin 150mg Capsule does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Artin 150mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Artin 150mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Artin 150mg Capsule is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
Artin 150mg Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Artin 150mg Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Artin Capsule?

If you miss a dose of Artin 150mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
