Penicillamine

Penicillamine is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and Wilson's disease.

Penicillamine works by blocking the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation and slows the progress of the condition with certain joint diseases. It works in Wilson's disease by helping the body to remove excess copper.
