The most common side effects include abdominal cramps, back pain, breast tenderness, hypotension and dizziness, hypercoagulant state, and vaginal bleeding. Your doctor may suggest ways to reduce or prevent these. Occasionally, it may cause a severe allergic reaction requiring urgent medical attention.

Inform your doctor if you have a history of breast cancer, unusual vaginal bleeding, or liver, kidney, or heart disease. It is used to cause menstrual periods in women who have not reached menopause but are not having periods due to a lack of natural progesterone in the body. This medicine helps to prepare the uterus for pregnancy by causing the uterus lining (endometrium) to thicken. This increases the chance of a successful pregnancy. You should use the medicine as prescribed for it to be effective. You may be asked to continue with this treatment for a period after becoming pregnant.

Taking Amgest with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Do not consume Tamoxifen with Progesterone (Natural Micronized) if you have or had breast cancer. If essential, consult your doctor.
