Voglistar - MD 0.2 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Voglistar - MD 0.2 mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It works by slowing down the digestion and absorption of glucose in the small intestine. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.

Cap Gemcal plus one daily for 2 months
Doctor has advised to take voglistar MD .2 and glycomet gp2 both before meal. Previously, only glycomet was prescribed for last 2 months. And now sugar level is also almost in control. What is the use of taking voglistar when glycomet gp 2 is already in session?The above meds have been advised for diabetes by the doctor. Could you please advise?

Needs to keep sugar level in normal limits. Take both medicines at present. Along with medicines take more precautions to your diet and do regular exercise for to keep sugar level in normal limits. And thus reduce the dose of medicine gradually and can stop one medicine later after discuss with your doctor.

Per day calorie intake should be between 1,500-1,800 calories with a proportion of 60:20:20 between carbohydrates, fats and proteins, respectively, take Healthy fats from raw nuts, olive oil, fish oils, flax seeds etc, fresh Fruits and vegetables,whole grains, legumes and other high-fibre diet, avoid refined carbohydrate diet,if u eat non veg u can take fish, poultry egg white, pulses whereas avoid red meat, avoid saturated fats like ghee, butter, avoid sweet foods, take small but frequent meals, supplements containing omega 3 fatty acids like Multivite fm omega capsule Quit smoking, avoid too much alcohol intake, find ways to reduce stress like meditation, yoga, etc. Moderate exercise daily like a brisk walk for 1 km. hope it helps
