How to use Voglidase Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take Voglidase 0.2mg Tablet with food.

How Voglidase Tablet works

Voglidase 0.2mg tablet is active in the small intestine, where it inhibits enzymes which are responsible for the breakdown of complex sugar into simple sugars such as glucose. Which thereby slows the digestion of sugar in the intestines and primarily lowers the post-meal rise in blood sugar levels.

Expert advice for Voglidase Tablet

  • It is very common to have flatulence, abdominal pain, diarrhoea as a side effect. To prevent this it should be taken just before each meal.
  • It may cause low blood sugar level (hypoglycemia) if used with sulfonylureas.
  • You should avoid using bile acid resins and antacids with Voglidase.
  • Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with chronic intestinal disorders, hernias, intestinal obstruction and intestinal ulcers.
  • Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver disease. Dose of your medicine may need to be adjusted.
