General Information

Product introduction
Viby Sachet may be taken with or without food. However, take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor may cause a worsening of your condition.
Some common side effects of this medicine include blurred vision, joint pain, tremors, tiredness, upper respiratory tract infection, aggression, double vision, nystagmus (involuntary eye movement) and altered walking. It may lead to loss of vision also, therefore, it is better to get the eyesight checked before you start the treatment and regularly thereafter. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Weight gain may occur in some cases but it can be controlled by having a healthy balanced diet and doing exercise.
Uses of Viby Powder for Oral Solution
- Infantile spasms
- Epilepsy/Seizures
Benefits of Viby Powder for Oral Solution
Infantile spasms or seizures (fits), occur in babies, that make muscles in the arms and legs stiff and bend the baby's head forward. Babies may also have slow development or loss of skills (like babbling, sitting, or crawling) if these spasms are left untreated. Viby Sachet helps stimulate release of those hormones in babies, that help to treat infantile spasms and also prevents its associated complications.
Viby Sachet slows down electrical signals in the brain that cause seizures (fits). It can also help reduce symptoms of seizures, such as confusion, uncontrollable jerking movements, loss of awareness, and fear or anxiety. This medicine can allow you to do some activities that you would otherwise be forbidden or scared to do (such as swimming and driving). It can take a few weeks for this medicine to work (because the dose has to be increased slowly) and during this time you may still have seizures. Therefore, do not stop using this medicine even if you feel well, until your doctor advises you to. Missing doses may trigger a seizure.
