This medicine is used with caution for some people. Thus, you must inform the doctor if you are suffering from any bleeding disorder, kidney, or liver disease. Also, let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and about all the other medications that you are taking regularly.

How Urolyte Powder for Injection works

Urolyte Injection works by dissolving the harmful blood clots in the blood vessels. This restores the blood flow to the affected tissue, thereby preventing tissue death and improving outcomes.

It increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling).
Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor as this may increase your chances of having another heart attack or stroke.
Urolyte Injection helps break down blood clots in blood vessels, thereby treating conditions such as heart attack, pulmonary embolism, and stroke.
It should be given as soon as possible (within 12 hours) after the onset of a heart attack.
It is usually given by your nurse or doctor as an infusion (drip) into a vein.
It increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails, using sharp objects or engaging in contact sports (e.g. football, wrestling).

Not relevant, as Urolyte Injection is intended for use in hospitalized patients.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Urolyte Injection is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data suggest dose adjustment may not be needed.
Use of Urolyte Injection is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION

Urolyte Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Interaction with drugs

Taking Urolyte with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Severe

Streptokinase (Injection Route)

Do not consume Streptokinase with Urokinase. If Streptokinase is essential, ensure a gap of At least 5 days between taking Streptokinase and Urokinase. Please consult your doctor. Urokinase may reduce the efficacy of Streptokinase.

Severe

Cilostazol (Oral Route)

Inform your doctor if you notice any signs of bleeding (bruising, bleeding gums, blood in stool/vomit/urine).

Severe

Apixaban (Oral Route)

Do not consume Apixaban with Urokinase. If concurrent use is essential, watch out for bleeding and consult your doctor immediately. Urokinase may increase the effect of Apixaban.

Moderate

Ticagrelor (Oral Route)

Talk to your doctor if you notice any unusual symptoms.

Moderate

Rivaroxaban (Oral Route)
