Truclar 125mg Tablet DT is used in the treatment of bacterial infections
It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Truclar Tablet DT

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Truclar 125mg Tablet DT may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food if you are experiencing stomach upset.
Avoid Truclar 125mg Tablet DT with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Truclar 125mg Tablet DT is a macrolide antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Clarithromycin, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic, not a penicillin or fluoroquinolone
Truclar is safe if used at prescribed doses for the prescribed duration as advised by your doctor
Truclar can be used to treat bacterial vaginosis unless resistance has not been developed against clindamycin or any macrolide antibiotic (Truclar. azithromycin, etc.)
Truclar is gluten free. However, please refer to package insert of the prescribed brand before use. Truclar is not a sulfa drug/does not contain sulpha

Truclar does not cause drowsiness when taken as prescribed. But, it may cause insomnia (sleeplessness) and thrush (infection of mouth caused by candida fungus)
When taken with birth control pills, Truclar does not affect birth control.
