Tmp 300mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in your body. It helps to kill germs (bacteria) that cause various types of infections like infections of the urinary tract and respiratory tract.

Tmp 300mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. You may take it with or without food. It is better to have this medicine at the same time each day to get the most benefit and you should keep on taking this medicine for as long as you are prescribed. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.

Some people may develop side effects like vomiting and headache. These side effects are usually temporary and go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you or do not go away.

Before starting treatment with this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or suffering from any liver, kidney or heart problems or if you are allergic to any medicine. Your doctor may get regular blood, urine tests while you are on this medication.

How to use Tmp Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tmp 300mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.

How Tmp Tablet works

Tmp 300mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Pregnancy

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED

Tmp 300mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies do not indicate harmful effects. However, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR

Tmp 300mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.
There may be a possibility of skin rash in the baby.

Driving

It is not known whether Tmp 300mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Please consult your doctor.

Kidney

CAUTION

Tmp 300mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Use of Tmp 300mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

Tmp 300mg Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
Use of Tmp 300mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with the severe liver disease.

What if you forget to take Tmp Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Tmp 300mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Monitor temperature of Patient. If Patient has fever place a cool, damp washcloth on your child's forehead. Give your Patient a lukewarm tub bath or a sponge bath. Give a sponge bath as follows: - ? Use lukewarm water [90?F (32.2?C) to 95?F (35?C)]. Do not use cold water, ice, or rubbing alcohol, which will lower the child's body temperature too quickly. ? Sponge for 20 to 30 minutes. ? Stop if the child starts to shiver. If your child doesn't like the sponge bath or doesn't feel better after the bath, there is no need to give another one. You can use paracetamol also along with above measures to control fever till you consult Dr. will determine underlying disorders by clinical examination which range from mild conditions to the most serious of bacterial and viral illnesses and will prescribe medicines accordingly.
