Expert advice for Tizan Tablet
- Tizan can increase the effects of other CNS depressants (alcohol, barbiturates) medicine.
- Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Tizan, as it may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness.
- Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.
- Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Tizan 2mg Tablet is not advised in patients with severe liver disease. Liver function tests are recommended before the start of treatment and then on a regular basis as advised.
