Telista 80 mg Tablet is a blood-pressure lowering medication. It belongs to a class of medicine called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs).

Telista 80 mg Tablet is mainly used for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Telista 80 mg Tablet is also used for the treatment of chronic (long-standing) heart failure and to protect kidney function in those suffering from diabetes and mild-to-moderate kidney disease.

It can either be used alone or in combination with other blood pressure-lowering medicines.

Telista 80 mg Tablet may cause hypotension (low blood pressure) which may cause dizziness or headache. The risk of low blood pressure increases if you are dehydrated or taking diuretics (water pills) along with Telista 80 mg Tablet.

Uncommon side effects (may affect 1 in 100 people)

Telista 80 mg Tablet may raise potassium levels. It may cause urinary tract infections, upper respiratory tract infections, anemia, abdominal pain, vomiting, itching, back pain, muscle cramps, pain in chest, depression, sweating, and shortness of breath.

In rare cases, Telista 80 mg Tablet use may lead to an increase in white blood cells, low platelet count,severe allergic reactions, abnormal liver function, dry mouth, taste disturbance (dysgeusia) and rapid heartbeat.

Telista 80 mg Tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It relaxes blood vessel by blocking the action of a chemical that usually makes blood vessels tighter. This lowers the blood pressure, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly to different organs and the heart to pump more efficiently.
