Sernorm 100mg Tablet


Overview

Introduction

Sernorm 100mg Tablet is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorder, phobia, post traumatic stress disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger in the brain.

Sernorm 100mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but take it at the same time each day to get the most benefit. The dose and how often you need it will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. It may be increased gradually. If you have trouble sleeping it may be best to take this medicine in the morning. It may take a few weeks before you start to feel better. Do not change the dose or stop taking it without talking to your doctor, even if you feel well. Your condition may get worse or you may suffer unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Let your doctor know if you do not see any improvement after four weeks.

The most common side effects of this medicine include rash, panic attacks, low sexual desire, sleepiness, ejaculation disorder and nausea. Some people gain weight while being treated with it. Keep taking the medicine but talk to a doctor if these side effects bother you. There may be ways of preventing or reducing them. You should avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.

Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have epilepsy, diabetes, liver or kidney disease, heart problems, glaucoma, drug addiction or bipolar disorder. These may affect your treatment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Some other medicines may affect the way it works, especially other antidepressants and medicines called MAO inhibitors. Liver
CAUTION
Sernorm 100mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Sernorm 100mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Sernorm 100mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

What if you forget to take Sernorm Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Sernorm 100mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Sir I am ocd patient and on medication for 2 years. Medication has reduced my symptoms upto 70%. I take 25mg paroxetine twice daily and 100mg quetiapine thrice daily. Sir please tell me how long I should continue medication and how to lower dose to discontinuation. I will be much greatful to you.
