It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Sensitab 7.5mg tablet at a fixed time.
Taking pioglitazone with alcohol may affect blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes.

Sensitab 7.5mg tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Uses

Sensitab 7.5mg tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

How it works

Sensitab 7.5mg tablet restores body's ability to use insulin to lower blood sugar level. Also decreases amount of glucose absorbed from food in the intestine and decreases glucose production from liver.

Numbness, Abnormal liver function tests, Bladder cancer, Bone fracture, Insomnia, Nasal infection, Visual impairment, Weight gain

No other cancer type has been linked with use of pioglitazone
