How to use Riszes Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Riszes 2 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Riszes 2 mg Tablet is an atypical antipsychotic. It works by affecting the levels of chemical messengers (dopamine and serotonin) to improve mood, thoughts and behavior.

  • You may feel dizziness and drowsiness when you start taking Riszes 2 mg Tablet. For the first week, avoid activities that require you to be alert.
  • Riszes 2 mg Tablet may cause weight gain, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and high blood sugar.
  • Tell your doctor if you have any unusual thoughts or behavior, inability to control muscle movements, or fever and excess sweating.
  • Some people may experience severe muscle problem on taking high doses or on long-term use. Tell your doctor if you’re one of them.

Pregnancy

Riszes 2 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Riszes 2 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Riszes 2 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Kidney
CAUTION
Riszes 2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Riszes 2 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver

Yes. Taking ibuprofen/ trazodone/melatonin/ Tylenol (acetaminophen) with risperidone does not cause any harmful effects. Please follow your doctor's advice regarding its use
