Schizophrenia is a chronic problem caused by Neuro chemical disturbance in brain. It is characterised by fear, odd experiences and distorted thought pattern. Treatment is with antipsychotic medicines which may need to continue throughout life. Coping with a mental disorder as serious as schizophrenia can be challenging, both for the person with the condition and for friends and family. Here are some ways to cope: 1. Learn about schizophrenia. Education about the disorder can help motivate the person with the disease to stick to the treatment plan.
