How to use Resplend Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Resplend 2.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Resplend Tablet works

Resplend 2.5mg Tablet is an alpha-blocker. It lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily through the body.

Resplend 2.5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Resplend 2.5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Resplend 2.5mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Resplend 2.5mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Resplend 2.5mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Resplend 2.5mg Tablet may be started with a low dose and then increased further. Regular blood pressure monitoring is advisable for dose adjustment.
Liver
CAUTION
Resplend 2.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Resplend 2.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Q. Does high blood pressure need to be treated?
When the blood pressure is high, the heart has to work harder to pump blood throughout the body, which causes damage to the blood vessels. If high blood pressure is not treated, it can lead to stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, and vision problems.
Resplend is an alpha blocker and is used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), painfully cold fingers (Raynaud’s Disease) or mild enlargement of the prostate gland (prostatic hyperplasia) in men.
Resplend is generally well tolerated and safe if used at prescribed doses for a prescribed duration as advised by a doctor.
Resplend is not addictive as it does not have any habit-forming potential.
Weight gain has not been reported with Resplend. However, if you have heart failure, Resplend can gradually become less helpful over several months and if this happens you may notice swelling of your legs or ankles due to retention of fluid known as edema. If you develop edema or weight gain while taking Resplend tell your doctor as your doctor may need to change the dose of Resplend or other medicines you are taking.
Sedation (drowsiness) is a common side effect of Resplend. Resplend may cause dizziness, drowsiness, syncope and headache. If you experience these symptoms, do not drive or use any tools or machinery while taking Resplend and consult your doctor.
Resplend is not used for the treatment of anxiety. Please consult your doctor if you experience anxiety as it requires proper diagnosis and treatment.
Resplend has not been reported to cause urinary retention. Resplend actually helps in relieving urinary retention if it was due to an enlarged prostate when used along with other medicines.
Resplend can make you feel tired. However, please consult your doctor if you experience excessive tiredness after taking Resplend.
